How To Apply For a Residential Certificate Online?

You can apply from home as the residence certificate application is available online. Also, the procedure for applying is slightly different from state to state. Let’s see the process of applying online.

  1. Choose the official website of the State/UT.
  2. Provide the following details to register on the official website of the State/UT.
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Father’s Name
  • Mother’s Name
  • Mobile Number
  • Email Address
  1. Get the option for registered users to log in using their user ID and password and fill in the captcha to apply for the service.
  2. Select the Residential Certificate option from the list of services.
  3. After filling in the required documents attach the passport-size photograph and verify all the details after attaching all the documents.
  4. Also, you will be issued an acknowledgment receipt with your application number. Then you have to go to the office along with the acknowledgment receipt and the original documents.
  5. Government authorities will issue you a residence certificate after considering these documents.

How To Apply For a Residential Certificate Offline?

  1. Applicants can apply for their residence certificate by visiting the following government offices and getting the application form.
  • Tahsildar Office
  • Revenue Office
  • Collector’s Office or Deputy Collector’s Office
